King Raynor is a secondary character in Mia and Me. He's Mo's father as well as the king of elves in Centopia, ruling from the Elf Palace located in the Crater.

Personality

King Rainor is kind and polite to all his friends and a bit stubborn and determined when it comes to missions to protect his kingdom Centopia. He tries to welcome every new arrival in Centopia warmly and kindly, and tries to protect this magical world with anything he can. He likes to take the best out of his son Mo, who happens to be the future king of Centopia. He cares about his wife Mayla and protects her.

Appearance

King Raynor has dark black hair, with crown made of golden leaves on his head. He wears a big, golden king-dress with rectangle, triangle and circle-like shapes on it. He has big, orange with red circles, elf wings.

Bio

Season 1

Raynor is elf king of Centopia, he rules the elves with his wife Queen Mayla. When Mia first arrived at Centopia, he was wary of her and did not trust her or her oracles. Once her Oracle about the Trumptus came true, he began trusting Mia and accepted her as an elf and her help against the wicked Munculus and Queen Panthea.

Relationships

Queen Mayla

• Raynor is married to Mayla. They support each other through thick and thin and reign over Centopia with care and love. He often gets exasperated or worried about Centopia's well-being and Mayla helps him relax with a few kind words.

Mo

• Mo is his son. He loves him very much and wishes to raise him to be a good successor. As his father, Raynor can be very strict with Mo, especially with his restrictions (like not using his flying throne), but all he wants is the best for him. When his son asked for a ceremony and a banquet without giving him more context, Raynor felt that he had become too spoiled thanks to his mother.

Phuddle

• King Raynor is Phuddle's friend. He recognizes him as an inventor with good intentions (especially for creating the much needed trumptus), though the constant failures from his experiments often irritate him and it takes some outside intervention to help him calm down.

Elves

• Raynor rules the Elves with firmness but also kindness. The elves respect his authority and do as he says without questioning him, knowing that he only wishes the best for his kingdom and his people.

Unicorns

• King Raynor cares deeply about unicorns and their well-being. He also respects them a lot and was honoured to allow one of them into the palace for the first time ever.

Polytheus

• Raynor doesn't like Polytheus at all. He knows how crafty and greedy he is and is irritated by the mere mention of his name. When forced to pretend that the snake hybrid had become worthy of an award (in exchange for a trumptus piece), he couldn't point out a single thing he liked about him, except for "his chariot". When hearing that he'd visit the elf crater, he tried to warn Mo of what he'd do if Polytheus got out of line, presumably due to bad personal experiences with the merchant.

Trivia

• He's one of the few adult elves shown in Centopia.
• He appears in all seasons.
  • During a majority of season 3, he was absent due to the toxin in Dax's nightvine that put him and Mayla into a deep sleep.
